Happy New Year

Hello peops!

I'm sorry it's taken me until now to wish you all a Happy New Year, but I've been so busy trying to organise all of the projects that I intend to focus on this year. Unlike previous years, where I've been content to just sit back and let things happen to me, (perhaps I leave things to fate a little too much, at times!) I am determined to make things happen this year.

I don't believe in New Year's Resolutions as I feel that they can cause a loss of self-confidence, if they get broken. I prefer to choose my New Year's Goals; things that I want to accomplish. I won't beat myself up if I don't accomplish them; however, I will draw up a written plan, so that I can do small things each day, to get me closer to my goal. I find this type of process works better. I will be disappointed, obviously, if my goals for this year don't work out how I'd planned, but I also believe that what is meant for us won't pass us by.

One of my goals, this year, is to expand my mind and learn some new things. I haven't done any formal study for about two years now - which is a long time for me! I had done some study on astrology, when I was younger, and for various reasons, I didn't pursue it to completion, but I feel now's the time to resume where I left off as I find the whole subject fascinating and I also think it works well with life coaching. On a totally different note, I also wish to learn about web design and try to learn some skills that will keep me up to date with new technology.

I think that the Mayan calender ending, represents the end of one way of life and the start of another. I urge all of you to make this year the year you finally do that thing you've always wanted to do but have been putting off. Start small. Write it down and work out what small things you can do each day to give it the best chance of working. Baby steps, people. Be nice to yourself.

I will keep you updated on how my goals are progressing and I would love to hear from anyone who has read this post and been inspired to go for it! Enjoy 2013. Let's make it the best year ever.

Love,

Mochira x
